Chocolate cake with Oolong tea

Did you know you can also use tea as an ingredient for anything you want? That is why this delicious chocolate cake is made with Formosa Tong Ting Oolong tea. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 75 ml cold Formosa Tong Ting Oolong
  • 50 grams cacao powder
  • 175 grams flower
  • 225 grams granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 250 grams butter (soft)
  • 4 eggs
  • Cake tin of 1,5 litres
  • Mixer

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 160˚C
  2. Mix the baking powder with the sugar and flour together using the mixer. Then add the butter and 3 eggs and mix on medium speed for 1 minute.
  3. In a separate bowl, stir the cooled tea together with the cocoa powder
  4. Then mix the above well in one bowl and add the last egg. Mix this briefly
  5. Grease the cake tin and pour in the batter.
  6. Place the cake in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes. The cake is ready as soon as a chopstick is coming out clean of the middle of the cake.
  7. Once the cake is ready, place it on a wire rack to cool. In the meantime, make a nice cup of Formosa Ting Tong Oolong and, once the cake has cooled down, cut a slice.
