A homemade recipe for a bubble tea

Soon it will be spring again and that only means 1 thing… The sun is coming through! As a result, we have a refreshing recipe for a “Bubble Tea” for the upcoming spring sunshine!

  • 150 ml Oriental Green tea
  • 100 ml whole milk
  • 50 ml pureed fruit of choice; our favorite is with mango or passionfruit
  • 2 tbsp of cooked tapiocapearls (The black pearls in a bubble tea.)
  • 1 or 2 tbsp of honey (for your own level of sweetness.)
  • 1 cup of ice cubes

  • Bring 1 liter of water to the boil for the tapiocapearls.
  • After fifteen minutes turn off the heat and let the tapiocapearls sit in the warm water for about 10 minutes, then drain them. (The tapioca pearls are translucent when fully cooked.)
  • Add the tea, milk, pureed fruit and honey in a blender and blend until blended.
  • Fill a large glass with the tapioca pearls and ice cubes.
  • Pour the tea mixture into the large glass and enjoy an ice cold fruity bubble tea!
